I've been wanting to try this for quite some time. I was originally inspired by the photos that Michael Helms took in this setup:

But, I didn't have the patience to build quite a rig like that. Instead I bought a kiddie pool and lined it with black plastic. I meant to take a picture of the setup, but got caught up in the cool photographic opportunities that awaited me :)

I forgot to mention how detailed this one is. The water droplets & goose bumps really to this one off! One of my favorites of all time!

Fabulous bodyscape & amazing model. I would have originally guessed a natural setting. Great Work!

I can see how you got caught up in the photographic opportunities... Captivating shot, and amazing result from such a simple setup! This deserves the award for best use of a kiddie pool! Simply lovely!

Ya, actually target had a 10ft by 4 ft one that was just perfect for $25. Next time, I think I'll orient it so I can get some cool long reflections from the back light. But first, lol, I have to figure out how to heat the water :)

Connie Imboden also put a mirror at the bottom for really great effects...you should be able to use heating pads, insulated of course...when my ankle heals, I want to try these things myself...best, C

Ah....you're idea led me to water bed heaters :)  Gotta get one of those!

And...Dakini and I did some stuff with some mirrors I bought yesterday.  I'll be posting some soon.  I'm not brave enough to put them in the pool yet!
